2024 Awardee: Lori Falin
Lori has been a part of KCPL for over 31 years, serving in the Technical Services Department since 1997. While her department has seen many changes and challenges over the past year, Lori has been the steady, guiding hand keeping things on track.
In 2024, Lori assumed additional duties in Technical Services while maintaining her own high level of work. Lori leads by example - tackling new assignments, providing knowledgeable insight, and doing it all with a smile and positive attitude.
And, of course, Lori contributes immensely to staff morale by organising the annual Chili Cookoff and the Crocktober event at Main, making sure the KCPL staff is well fed and happy!
Lori received the award at KCPL’s annual Staff Development Day on April 9, 2025.
