Public Meeting Rooms

Reserve a meeting or study space for yourself or a group at your local KCPL branch.

What do I need to know?

Requests for rooms must be made by a patron holding a current Library card who is an individual at least 18 years of age and is not barred from the Library’s premises, except that Study Rooms may be reserved by a patron at least 14 years of age.

Library Rooms are available Free-of-Charge to: Individual patrons or groups of patrons and Non-profit Organizations or groups

Library Rooms are available at Reasonable Charge to: For-profit Organizations or groups

Library Rooms are Unavailable for: Promotion or sale of goods or services; Conducting classes or meetings for profit; Fundraising purposes; Political Campaigning activities; Private events (baby or bridal showers, weddings, birthday parties, memorial services, retirement parties, graduations parties, etc.)

Patrons may only reserve rooms 6 months in advance and can have a total of 6 reservations at a time.

If a patron does not show up within 15 minutes of their reservation, staff can cancel their reservation.

No one must pay for the study rooms even if it is a for profit. However, the use of the study room must still fall within the scope of the policy.

For for-profit organizations who reserve the conference or meeting room spaces, a maintenance and cleaning charge of $50 dollars for the first hour and $25 dollars for any additional hours is required.
