Event Details

Supply Pickup will begin on Monday, August 11.

Supply provided is a bag of air dry clay. 

Beyond this you may use any materials you desire to complete your Cryptid Art. 

All Art pieces are due back by NO LATER than August 29th.

 

Art show details:

Join us for our first ever Cryptid Appalachia Art Show! Registration for this art show begins on Monday, July 14th. 

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it is to create your very own Cryptid and sculpt it into an art piece. You will also be writing a short origin story about your cryptid.

Your art piece entry and story will be due back at the library by August 29th. 

 

These pieces will be displayed in the library throughout the month of September, in celebration of Cryptid Month. Patrons will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite piece. 

Each Registrant will receive an Cryptid Appalachia Art Show 2025 Button.

The winner ( artist with the most votes) will receive a cryptid theme button set and a 1st place trophy.
