Program Description

Event Details

Did you love reading Choose-Your-Own-Adventure stories as a kid? What about playing retro text-based RPGs like Zork or Planetfall? Have you ever wanted to create your own? You can learn how at the IDEA Lab!

For this month’s Code Club we’ll be learning how to script your own work of interactive fiction using specialized coding languages from ChoiceScript and Twine. We’ll look at some example games, talk about how to draft a branching plot, and try writing our own story code together.

Spots are limited, so register today and come code with us!

Disclaimer - Program participants will have the opportunity to use internet-enabled library computers to access story coding resources through www.choiceofgames.com and www.twinery.org. Please contact us in advance if you have any questions about internet access during library programs.
