Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a course on Sustainable Gardening presented by the Kanawha County Master Gardeners. This course explores ways to do more with less in order to handle the scarcity of resources and increasing demand. Students will be provided with an overview of various sustainable gardening methods regarding what we grow, how we grow, and how we manage our gardens.

Darin Cook is the Sustainability Manager for the West Virginia National Guard and is a part of the Kanawha County Extension Master Gardener Association. He has been a leader in gardening sustainability for over 13 years.

The West Virginia University Extension Master Gardener Program is a volunteer educational program meeting the horticultural needs of everyday West Virginians. The program trains volunteers, utilizing their expertise to teach others more about plants, their culture, their importance to the environment and to our quality of life.
