Sherrie Tolliver, of Women In History, will take the audience back in time as NASA “Computer” and mathematician Creola Katherine Coleman Gobel Johnson (Katherine Johnson). Beginning with her birth in rural West Virginia, Katherine will share the story of her path to becoming a mathematician.  Born at a time when there were many barriers and challenges to getting an education or doing the work she dreamed of doing, she dared to dream anyway. By using her intelligence and with the support of family and friends, she was able to achieve her dream.
