The St. Albans Public Library Advisory Board is proud to announce that Bob Maroney will present at St. Albans Writes, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, in the second floor Community Room at the St. Albans Public Library. A Question & Answer session will follow.
Maroney graduated from St. Albans High School in 1972, joined the Air Force in 1975, and retired from the Air Force in 1997,immediately moving back to West Virginia. He settled in Fayette County where at he worked and taught at WVU Tech and then joined the Postal Service where he retired in 2021. He still lives in Fayette County with his wife of 30 years, enjoying retirement.
Maroney wrote 55 Graves as an experiment and it had good reviews from critics and more important to him, his friends, so he spent the next year writing The Killer’s Handbook, which also received positive reviews. Bob’s about 30,000 words into his new book, The Mad Butcher’s Son, loosely based on a true story here in West Virginia.
