Event Details

Kanawha County Public Library welcomes local author and filmmaker Daniel "Danny" Boyd, along with performer and musical producer Larry Groce, to the Main Library’s Children's Department on Saturday, October 7 at 2 pm for the Super Saturday Meet the Author! Storytime.

Boyd’s presentation will include a discussion about his children's books and feature a read aloud program from his book, Miss Dirt Turtle's Garden Club. Learn more about Danny at danielboyd.com.

Groce will perform songs from the musical based on Miss Dirt Turtle's, and share excerpts from Boyd's book Tavey's First Hunt, which Groce voiced for the audiobook. Learn more about Larry Groce at https://quarrierstreetrecords.com/biography.

Library guests will be able to purchase signed copies of Boyd's children's books and enjoy a reception with both Boyd and Groce at the Main Library in Downtown Charleston.

This program is sponsored by the KCPL Children's Services team and is part of the library's new Otis Laury Nutritional Literacy Center programming.
