Program Description

Event Details

Join us for an evening of festive fun at the Main Library's Winter Open House!

On the first floor of the library starting at 4:30 until 6 p.m., enjoy harp music performed by musician Aubrey Cale.

Cale is a South Carolina native and has been playing harp since she was 11 years old. She has degrees in Music Education, Harp Performance, and Musicology from Bob Jones University and Durham University in Durham, England. Aubrey has performed as Principal Harp with various orchestras and wind ensembles in the Carolinas and currently freelances as a performer and instructor. She lives in West Virginia with her husband and two children.

In Room 311C from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., find our holiday gift-wrapping station! We have a selection of wrapping papers, boxes, bags, and bows, along with scissors and tape. Supplies are limited, so please be mindful of the number and size of gifts you intend to wrap.

We will also accept donations of gently used supplies for the wrapping station. If you have a surplus of bows, bags, boxes, wrapping paper, or other supplies, feel free to add them to the station!

The Winter Open House will be taking place prior to the Charleston Christmas Parade, set to step off at 7 p.m. Find the parade route map on the City of Charleston's website.
