Event Details
Join us for the Main Library's Holiday Open House! We'll be open in the evening for this special event on Friday, Dec. 12, from 6-8 p.m. Make the library part of your visit to partake in all the holiday festivities happening in downtown Charleston!
We will have a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Santa, all the way from the North Pole! Enjoy musical winter classics performed by harpist Aubrey Cale all evening long.
The Kanawha Charleston Humane Association will be bringing adoptable puppies and kittens to the Teen Zone for all ages to play with, and refreshments will be provided upstairs by the Friends of the Library. You can also find a holiday family photo booth on the Children's Floor and craft stations all around the library with cookie decorating, bookish ornament-making, and children's holiday crafts.
We are expecting visits from one of the International Yeager Airport dogs, Dusty from the Charleston Dirty Birds, and the Children's Theater of Charleston for a preview of their newest show for the holidays, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
Check back for more information and a building map of activities as we get closer to the date of our Open House!
