Are you contemplating publishing a family history, autobiography, or memoir? Are you uncertain where to start? Are you not sure what to keep in (and what to leave out!)? Join West Virginia native Larry Suek, author of Willow Grove: A Boy, A Family, a Farm, and his publisher, Liz Coursen, for this fast-paced, 90-minute workshop, where they will discuss the three easy steps necessary to publish an entertaining personal history.

West Virginia native Larry Suek is the author of Willow Grove: A Boy, A Family, A Farm, his memoir about growing up as a third-generation dairy farmer in post-World War II America. In Willow Grove, Larry deftly combines lively boyhood experiences with his family’s history and sets both against the backdrop of rapid and profound technological advances in the dairy industry. West Virginians of all ages will be entertained and informed reading well-told stories about hard-fought battles with Ravenswood marbles in the schoolyard, hobos riding the B&O, and slaughtering hogs.

After attending Ravenswood Elementary and Ravenswood High, Larry graduated from Parkersburg High. He went on to receive his degree from Ohio University and enjoyed a successful and challenging career as a thermoplastics polymer chemist and technical sales specialist.

Liz Coursen is an editor and book publisher in Sarasota, Florida. Liz is also the author of 15 books, including 10 books about American English punctuation and grammar. She has lectured as far away as India about American English best practices.
