Learn to Crochet: Infinity Scarf - 3 week class Oct. 3, 10, 24

Learn the basics of crochet with two simple stitches and make an infinity scarf at this 3 week workshop. In the first class we will learn and practice the single and half-double crochet stitches and you will have a sampler to work on at home. In week 2 we will go over any questions and problem areas you had with your sampler. Then we will begin the scarf by learning the chain stitch and foundation row. You will be able to take your project home to work on at your leisure over the two week break. In the third class we will finish off the project, sew the seam, and weave in the yarn ends. During the classes we will also go over crochet terms, gauge, tools, and how to read a pattern.

All supplies will be provide; however, If you would like to bring your own yarn, pick one that is medium weight (#4) and recommends hook size I or J. Please feel free to email amee.beckner@kcpls.org with any questions.
