Baughman Sisters Donate a Piece of Charleston History to the Main Library

Herald Baughman was a Vice President at Kanawha Banking and Trust when he saved a piece of Charleston history during a renovation. This beautiful brass stand had been in the lobby for customers to use when filling out their deposit and withdrawal slips.

The daughters of Herald and Patsy Baughman decided it was time for it to return to Charleston and donated it on December 1, 2022. The art deco stand will be on display in the WV Room at the Main Library, right next door to the bank that was its home.
