Main Library Now Accepting Donations for Used Book Sale

We can accept donations of gently-used books, CDs, and DVDs at any of our KCPL locations. The Main Library is currently accepting donations specifically for the Used Book Sale, which will take place on Saturday, October 22 during the 2022 West Virginia Book Festival.

You may bring your donations to Main's Drive Up Window, accessible underneath the building at the southeast corner of Quarrier and Summers Streets, between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Saturday. Contact your local branch for details on how to donate materials to those locations.

We will not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, outdated manuals, magazines, or VHS tapes. Though we cannot appraise the value of your donation, we will provide a receipt. If you would like a letter for tax purposes, please include your name and address. Please note that we accept donations for the Used Book Sale only, not for our collections.
