KCPL to Launch 24-Hour Kiosk Service in Clendenin
The Clendenin Kiosk is a Hold Pickup Location. Choose "Clendenin Kiosk" when placing your hold.
The Kanawha County Public Library unveils its 24-hour Library Kiosk in Clendenin on Saturday, December 17, 2022. Grand opening ceremonies are scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
Baughman Sisters Donate a Piece of Charleston History to the Main Library
Herald Baughman was a Vice President at Kanawha Banking and Trust when he saved a piece of Charleston history during a renovation. This beautiful brass stand had been in the lobby for customers to use when filling out their deposit and withdrawal slips.
Automatic Renewals
Automatic renewals begin December 1, 2022. Each day at 7:00 PM, our system will identify all items that are still due on that specific day and attempt to renew them.
Kanawha County Public Library Holiday Celebrations
The Kanawha County Public Library will host a series of Holiday Open House events during the month of December. All KCPL Open Houses are free and open to everyone. Full details are available on our calendar.
The Main Library's Drive Up Window is now a Hold Pickup Location
Accessible from the Quarrier Street side, it is open 8:30am - 8:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30am - 5:00pm Friday and Saturday.

Updates to Pop-Up Library Services
The Pop-Up Library Service will not be at the Booker T. Washington Community Center (24 Wyatt Street, London, WV 25126) on Tuesday, November 8th. The location will be used as a polling place. We will resume service on Tuesday, November 15th.
West Virginia Book Festival Announces Changes to Schedule for 2022
The 2022 West Virginia Book Festival will be held at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center on October 21 and 22, featuring bestselling authors Elin Hilderbrand, C.J. Box, V.E. Schwab, and Marc Brown, as well as local authors Charlie Ryan and Mitch Evans.
